When anxiety gets in the way of living the life you want, it can feel defeating and lead to depression. Some eat more or less then healthy, while others get drunk or high to escape these feelings. Some know exactly where these fears came from, others have no idea. Trapped by worries of all sorts, many people deprive themselves of healthy connections with others, moving forward in their career, health/fitness goals and other things. This struggle can also be hard for others to understand who don’t experience the same anxiety, leaving you feeling very alone.

 

Anxiety and worry come from fear. Fear is a natural feeling and essential to our survival. It keeps us from running out in the middle of traffic or doing other things that might endanger ourselves or others, without reservation or precautions. However, sometimes the chemicals that produce fear get carried away and cause crippling anxiety and worry that disrupts our lives.

 

Due to this, anxiety is very common. People of all ages, races, spiritualities and orientations all experience anxiety and for many, its serious. Life is filled with worry, so these feelings often find their way into our minds, even if there is no present emotional, physical, or practical danger.

 

The good news, however, is that with the help of a compassionate, empathetic, and dedicated therapist, you can learn to manage, cope with, and fight your anxieties and fears, so they don’t get in the way of the life you want.

 

In our sessions we’ll uncover your fears and process where they might be coming from. Then we can tackle triggers to avoid them or be prepared for them, so when they arise, we are ready to still move forward. We will also problem solve, to decrease negative aspects, of life. You will learn healthy coping to calm yourself and develop awareness to know when to fight through your fear and when to take a break. Healthy distractions can take you away from your worries, without having to engage in unhealthy escapism. Thinking through your worries and problem solving can give you your power back, along with helping you leave behind what you can’t control, for a future that’s yours. We’ll celebrate your accomplishments and keep you motivated, to keep moving forward.

I have worked with clients dealing with various anxieties for over 10 years. I am open minded and provide nonjudgmental guidance, coaching and therapy. I have helped many work through their fears to a more fulfilled life. Clients are no longer trapped by their fears and start to conquer barriers to accomplish their goals. It is possible! Some developed anxiety because of trauma while others were born with a chemical imbalance. Either way having support, understanding and a professional to help navigate and motivate you can be the key to unlocking your new, best life.
